Will The Circle Be Unbroken?
|
About the artist I have both a BFA and an MFA from The Maryland Institute, College of Art, and have painted and taught in the Baltimore area for the past thirty years. My realistic landscapes, still-lifes, and portraits are represented in collections nationally.
I like to emphasize the play of light, whether on water or stone in my landscapes or on glass and cloth in my still-life studies. I employ the glazing techniques of the Old Masters but with a contemporary feel. Making my own paint by grinding dry pigment allows me to create a luminous quality in my work.
I currently teach landscape and still life painting at The Mitchell School of Fine Art in Baltimore
